The long-awaited machine that will multiply our production was delivered today. It is a fully automatic autoclave with configured sterilization schemes, where the operator just needs to select the program and start the device. That in itself saves human labour. However, the precise computer-controlled system also ensures that there is virtually no need to keep any time reserves, because everything is so precise that there is no need to allow for human error. This will speed up the sterilization process and we hope that it will allow us to sterilize 3-4 autoclaves per shift instead of two, depending on the volume of the product package. It is also bigger, so it can hold twice as much as our current autoclave in the case of pouches and 60% more in the case of cans. All of which means that this new toy can increase our capacity up to six times current valuesif only the smaller volume pouches were always produced and it was possible to sterilise 4 times per shift and in the worst case, the capacities will “only” triple. This of course creates a bottleneck in the filling and packaging department of the finished product, however, in the case of paté pouches we are already managing this and have already ordered machines for both further increases in filling speed and packaging.
