In the current situation, after sterilization, we have to remove the cans from the basket, dry them with fans and then stack them on a labeling belt. This cannot be done straight away as we cannot label wet cans or subsequently wrap them in foil. This will soon change, as yesterday we started negotiations (and today we asked for a contract to be sent for a binding order) on the production of a belt dryer, on which the cans will be loaded immediately after sterilization. This saves double work (once folded for drying, then for labelling). With the downstream packing tunnel, we can get the product from the basket immediately after sterilisation to the sealed package ready for dispatch with the intervention of a single person! In addition, we have ordered meat pumps and a pocket filler to speed up the operation in the clean part of the production (where the meat is handled directly).
